Successful members of our barista crew do the following:

​

• provide genuine, inviting, and attentive service for customers

• respect and support co-workers

• demonstrate confident knowledge of our coffee and food offerings to provide the best service possible to our community

• engage in café care and side tasks throughout the day (beyond open and close duties) so that our co-workers are set up for success, and community members can enjoy their time with us 

• receive our specialty coffee training and on-going education, feel empowered to ask questions, and seek feedback as a means to improvement

 
Notes:

• Full time position (32-36 hours/week), Part time position (14-22 hours/week)

• at least $22/hour take home pay to start

• Benefits include PTO, 401k after 1 year, shift meals & beverages, and employee discount

• Prior specialty coffee experience is ideal, but we are willing to train candidates that exhibit qualities that meet the needs of our crew and workplace culture

• Our coffee crew members work at our cafe location (1 N Park St, Lebanon)

We're looking to add one part/full-time cook to our amazing, talented kitchen crew. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about food, service, and the Upper Valley community!
 
Successful members of our crew do the following:

• embody a team oriented work ethic with the ability to exhibit clear and open communication

• respect and support co-workers

• demonstrate familiarity with large scale kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, scales, knives, and other equipment (training is available as safety is essential)

• skills to include sauté, knife skills, cooking standards 

• exhibit excellent time management skills, self-direct and receive direction to execute timely completion of necessary tasks, sense of urgency

• have creative energy pertaining to flavors and aesthetics of our dishes, and contributions to specials

• feel empowered to ask questions, and seek feedback as a means to improvement

• physical requirements - ability to lift 50 lbs, as well as ability to stand for long periods

• willingness to constantly be engaged in the taste and texture of products

Job Duties: 

•  Dishes

•  Collect and clean dishes, including hand scrubbing, pre-rinsing with the sprayer, & use of the dish machine

•  Make sure all dishes are free of stains, smudges, food, and water

•  Restocking the dishes into the correct location for the baristas and cooks

•  Monitoring the chemical levels of the 3 bay sink and the dish machine

•  Inspecting dishes for wear, scratches, dents, chips, cracks, etc.

• Cafe Care

•  Periodically check bus tubs and empty as needed (guests clear their own tables)

•  Wipe tables of food debris and sanitize

•  Spot sweep the cafe as needed

•  Monitor the trash bins and replace bags as needed

•  Refill and restock the water station as needed

•  Monitor the bakery case and drink cooler, and restock as needed

•  Check bathrooms for cleanliness including the restock of paper goods, soaps, trash bags, and a clean floor

•  Assist guest with any questions about our items, service, lucky's, or yourself

•  Food or drink running

•  Listening for a "Hands!" call from the kitchen or bar to run food and drink to the proper guest

•  Assist guests with needs such as napkins, hot sauce, correcting a mis-made item, bags etc

• Prep Needs

•  Assisting the baristas with cup and bag stamping

•  Assisting the kitchen with basic prep tasks such as portioning or bottling ingredients
