We're looking to add a full-time cook to our amazing, talented kitchen crew. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about food, service, and the Upper Valley community!
Successful members of our crew do the following:

demonstrate familiarity with large scale kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, scales, knives, and other equipment (training is available as safety is essential)

skills to include sauté, knife skills, cooking standards

exhibit excellent time management skills, self-direct and receive direction to execute timely completion of necessary tasks, sense of urgency

have creative energy pertaining to flavors and aesthetics of our dishes, and contributions to specials

feel empowered to ask questions, and seek feedback as a means to improvement
Notes:

Full time position (32-36 hours/week)

at least $22/hour take home pay to start

Prior commercial cooking experience is ideal, but we are willing to train candidates that exhibit qualities that meet the needs of our crew and workplace culture

Our cooks work at our garage location (1 N. Park St, Lebanon)
Requirements:

consistent attendance and punctuality, with availability for early morning hours and weekends

ability to focus and stay calm in a kitchen environment, ask questions and receive feedback

ability to follow prep lists, written recipes, use scales, and receive verbal instruction

attention to standards of excellence, detail, and cleanliness

physical requirements - ability to lift 50 lbs, as well as ability to stand for long periods

Front of House Manager - NOW HIRING (July 8, 2024)

Subject line: FOH Manager Position
The job of the front of house manager is to help maintain a motivated, positive, and productive specialty coffee team through training, support, organization, and communication. This person is in service to all FOH folks, but especially to our FOH Leaders and Shift Supervisors. The FOH manager works closely with the Coffee Lead to ensure that our baristas are knowledgable and able to confidently communicate with customers about our coffees and roasting partners.
To achieve success the FOH manager must perform the following:
-
create and maintain a supportive environment for FOH folks, including sensitivity to employee needs and dynamics
-
handles FOH scheduling matters
-
ensures that FOH labor percentages are appropriate
-
models excellent customer service
-
assist in barista hiring and interviewing
-
plan and conduct FOH team meetings as necessary
-
may assist with corrective action when necessary
-
responsible for maintenance and cleanliness of the coffee bar and cafe, along with equipment maintenance
-
schedule and implement cuppings and training
-
collaborate with coffee lead, and communicate with roasting partners regarding quality control
-
available to FOH staff for questions and support, and advocates for the needs of the FOH
-
responsible for managing and delegating tasks related to ordering and inventory for FOH
-
communication and collaboration with bakery team for syrup inventory, and developing recipes for seasonal special beverages
-
bring in and implement new ideas for promoting and sharing specialty coffee culture (for example new or adjusted recipes, cuppings, workshops or events, etc.)
-
create and implement efficient and organized systems
-
assist in planning and executing special events when needed
-
weekly meetings with our leadership team

Salaried position - starting at $56k per year
